What does a session look like?
I try to begin each session with a fresh perspective on how you are, right now. Initial sessions usually include a 15-20 min. consultation / intake on your health history, life supports, and intentions around your healing and growth.
During a craniosacral session, you will rest on a massage table, fully clothed. If incorporating massage you may wear less for the massage work but remain covered by a sheet and/or blanket. |
I take care to ensure you are comfortable and safe throughout the experience. Feedback is always welcome during or after sessions. Sessions are typically one hour including a brief check-in, but may vary, and may be tailored as needed.
Most people report feeling deeply relaxed after craniosacral therapy sessions. However, a wide variety of experience is possible as it is often a process of physical and/or emotional release. You may feel more expansive, tender, excited, or settled. Sometimes if the body has shifted a lot you may even feel quite tired or achy. This therapy is known for its gentle, yet profound approach to resolving trauma and pain.
After a session, it helps to reserve some time in your day for integration and rest, as your body will continue to process your experience. Many people want to sleep a lot the following evening, although bursts of energy are also reported. It's an important window of time where your body can make the most of its experience; many people notice physical shifts, insights, and other changes in the day or 2 after a session.

Rates
I typically schedule 1 hour sessions for $100 to 1.5 hours sessions for $150 - I offer sliding scale to local islanders and anyone in need. Packages rates are available and I am dedicated to providing sponsorships as needed - please talk to me about any considerations you may have. It is very important to me that healing be as accessible as possible to all bodies. I have found over time that people who value their healing get a lot out it.
Give it forward -
If you would like to contribute to sessions for people with who cannot access therapy as easily, I have a "pass it forward" fund at times and am willing to match any contributions to others' sessions - feel free to talk to me about this.
